about

Originally released on CD in 2002, XENONICS K-30 is the collaborative project of Lee M. Bartow (NTT, THEOLOGIAN) and Scott Sturgis (CONVERTER, PAIN STATION).
This digital release features an updated version of the original artwork, which was rejected by the label because it features a comic book robot. The label later released a CD by a different artist with a comic book robot on the cover. The album's original title, MASCHINENKRIEGER, was also rejected.

For the past 13 years, listeners have been under the incorrect impression that the album's layout features a misspelling of the third track title, DYPLASTOID, perhaps partly because the label had originally misspelled the word on their website and in the CD's Gracenote data. That error should now be put to rest. DYPLASTOID is indeed the correct spelling.
